Temple Fang are one of my all time favorite bands period. If i could see any band live in the world at any time going back lets say 50 years to present. This is the band i would see.
In the summer of ’23 we hit the european festival circuit with a new drummer, Daan Wopereis, who had stepped in for Egon ( ❤️) on a very short notice in June. There was really no time to write anything new so we’d decided to take a few oldies we hadn’t played for a while, rework them with fresh parts and energy and just go and wing it.
On August 5th, we headed down to Beelen, Germany to play a festival we were very much looking forward to, the wonderful Krach am Bach. On invitation of Uli, one of the heads of the fest, me and Jevin had visitited the year before and under a scorching sun we had witnessed amazing performances of @witch_seers , the mighty @kingbuffaloband Buffalo and the mindblowing @kanaanband , so we were very much looking forward to sweet summer vibes there again.
Just before we hit the stage for soundcheck, a massive rainstorm hit the festival grounds and we got worried, for the equipment but also for the crowd, as conditions were far from ideal to watch a band like us jam away, so we half-expected an pretty much empty space in front of us. Walking out to start the show however, the field was absolutely packed with people wrapped in whatever plastic they could find, ready to take in 45 mins of TF. What ensued was what can only be described as magickal, audience and band melting together in one steamy ritual of psychedelia.
Luckily we had our longtime FOH engineer Niek Manders with us to capture the audio and master-photographer Maaike Ronhaar to grab some beautiful ambience.
We’ll never forget this show and we hope to return someday to Krach am Bach to do again, hopefully under a blazing sun this time.
Love is all,
XO DD/TF

Fantastic absolutely fantastically beautiful! Over the last month I have gone crazy for King Buffalo. I have picked up the soon to be released Regenerator, also Acheron, Burden of Restlessness the first demo and this Wicked Squid Trashwave revue. I am going to get get everything this group puts out! quazimodospet

It's only four tracks, yes, but it's four tracks of great cosmic psychedelia.
